Freezing Trout & Trout Recipes

What is the best way to transport fresh trout when driving back from Branson to KC.

Also, a good recipe for grilling or frying fresh trout would be great.

Dry ice if you can.
if not, will you have access to a freezer? if so, take the fish, clean them, put them in a resealable plastic baggie. add water to fill it about 1/4 full. stick it in the freezer. when your driving home, keep the fish in the cooler. put some ice on top of it and you should be good. its only 4 hours.

now for the good part, eating em

dont filet the trout, just clean the guts out. make sure all the gooey stuff out of the inside
lay out some tin foil, add a couple of pats of butter or margarine, enough to coat the foil where the fish will be. lay the fish on the foil. add a little butter to the insides of the fish, add garlic, onions (i like the green onions, but you add what you like) some mushrooms, salt, pepper (and i like to add some cajun seasoning) then close the fish. when you wrap the tin foil, make it like a tent. put the fish on the grill over a low heat for about 10-15 mins (depending on your grill) when you plate the fish, dash a little lemon juice over it and enjoy. serve it with some home fried potatos and a cold beer!!
if you need some help eating it....let me know

Yum, that sounds so good. Fish is such a good protein that everybody seems to shy away from, and they shouldnt. Its the bomb!
