American Idol

I'm watching American Idol. Did any of my Arkansas Buddies hear Patrick Hall from Gravette Arkansas? He was awesome!!! They told him he didn't look like an idol, but that he had a wonderful voice. He made it on to the next round. [/color][/font]

I watched...or sorta.
Ive been trying to catch it..........every time, but darn its a busy time of the evening for me. Im going to go back and watch it on FOX W later tonight..........can you believe this torture?...I can watch it twice....  I really love this show....and there are some people who surely must know they CANNOT SING...........and then they say the judges are mean.....hehehehe.... I think that kid that they say doesnt look like an Idol, has a great voice....I guess if you dont have a ''pretty face'' and ''a body by Jake''.........your voice won't count? What is the definition of AN AMERICAN IDOL? Along with the voice of an Angel.........what is important?

Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkston both had the face and the voice for American Idol. Clay Aiken and Reuben Studdord (sp), both had an awesome voice, but they did not have the body or face for an American Idol. I really don't think that Bo Bice had the whole package either, but he was always a favorite. I think the American Idol will be someone that can "Bring It", as Randy the judge says.

I liked Bo because he sang songs that I liked... He had that whole Lynard Skynard thing going on. I liked that guy from Arkansas too!! But my favorite guy was the bald headed guy that sings like Creed or Nickleback. He made through to the next round also!!

I missed it tonight and didn't tape it, I wish I had known a guy from Arkansas was going to be on!!! Maybe I'll see him later on.

I didn't watch, either, since my Hogs were playing ball at the same time, but my daughter called, and she said Patrick was really good. Hope he makes it. Even if he doesn't win, with a great voice he may have a chance at a good career.

That was one of the best games the hogs have played! I could not believe they lost in the last few seconds! I really think they could have won that game if they'd let the little number 14 play more. He is a very good 3 point shooter!

Patrick Hall is a friend of our family..
I so hope that Patrick makes it on through.. He's got an awesome voice and he's such a nice young man. He's got our vote that's for sure.

OK - I usually don't watch American Idol... but I watched the link above...
The kid has my vote... 1. He sang the song that my husband and I consider "our song".. 2. He did a wonderful job on a song that I've listened to 1000's of times. 3. I think he's CUTE! 4. I'm a SUCKER for that soft southern accent...  |

I live in Gravette Arkansas where Patrick lives also.His father has been a doctor here for many years and is retiring next week.His dad delivered me 48 years ago when he was a young doctor here.I didn't get to see the show as I had not heard he was on but I am going to listen to the song on the website someone recommended on here.Patrick is really a nice young man and newly married also.Good Luck to him.

Small world.. my husbands family all attended Church with Patrick and his family in Gravette.. (Some still go there as others have moved away.. like us.) So. Dr. Hall is retiring next week.. Bless his heart, he sure is a nice man and a good Doctor. I wish Patrick the best.. in this American Idol show. I posted a link above that shows his part of the show last Wednesday.. {{hugs}} |
