Gateway to Paradise

My father bought a vacuum cleaner a couple of weeks ago, and upon purchase he received a "free" vacation, and if he could get 4 people to let them come to their houses and test one he would also get a free shampooer. Well, I did just to help him get the shampooer, I also received a vacation. It is Gateway to Paradise, 3 day - 2 night getaway, and it has different places to choose from, including Branson. We are thinking about using it, but the only catch that I know about is a $29.95 refundable processing fee. We are supposed to get the money back at the end of the trip. (It only covers hotel expenses) I was wondering if anyone has ever done this, is there a tour involved, because I really don't want to take a tour. Can anyone help me, before I have to send in the money or lose the offer? Thanks in advance

Bet it is a TS

Read the fine print close. Sounds like a timeshare tour would be required to get your deposit back and they are usually very HIGH pressure.

I got something different but on the same line. Won a grand prize from an auto sales place. Came in mail and scratch off for what prize won. Won grand prize of so many days/nights vacation. Went and picked it up. The brochure says have to activate with a $50 refundable activation fee. Goes on to say must be 25 yo, married couple or cohabitating adults, employed, $50,000 annual income, etc. Smells of timeshare. I won't be accepting.

Mike S. is likely right about it being a timeshare, but that doesn't mean you can't still make a vacation of it. READ THAT FINE PRINT!
