Last year we were in Branson and heard that a hot air balloon ride was going to be coming soon. If anyone knows any information about this, please tell me. thanks.

here's one of several links I found about Branson's hot air Balloon when I did a search of this site, it includes the experiences of a few here.

It's better to plan on a ride either early or late in the day. The have strict rules on wind velocity..

We wanted to ride in july, there was 10 of us and we were told that it was too windy for all 10 to ride but they would take us up 5 at a time. I admit that I am not a balloon pilot but since it was not safe for all of us , I
decided it was not safe for any of us.

dwooley....I don't know how I have missed this post...but I've ridden the balloon twice. The first time I thought it was amazing....loved it. The second was good too, just not as exciting as the first. And whoever posted about them not going up if the wind velocity gets very high is correct. They are very strict about it, and that made me feel better. Also, they have a small "theater" in the building, and either before or after the balloon ride, you can watch a video of the making of the first balloon in Paris, and it's opening and flight over Paris, it's pretty neat to watch!

I think everyone should do it once. There's a GREAT view of Branson from up there!!!
