Gas Prices
 GAS PRICES ARE GOING UP FAST.FRIDAY THEY WERE 2.159.SUNDAY IT IS NOW 2.249

Just got back from a week of Iowa fishing. Gas on the trip was up and down too. But even the raise 'pumpkin' was talking about 9 cents on national average fill up of 12.2 gallons is only about $1.08 difference. Not bad enough to cancel a trip. Sure great to be home in Branson.

Gas was 2.18 and 2.19 in Springfield today - after we filled up, we saw it for 2.13 in a small town outside of Springfield.
Might just be $1.08 difference since the gas price hike last week - but it's almost twice what we were paying for gas a year or so ago - so my travels have been slowed down some by the gas prices. |

We use 46 to 50 gallons on a Branson trip. That's a bit more than change in a pocket. We use a car that averages 28/30 mpg.

It jumped up from $2.13 to $2.27 last week, then started dropping, was $2.25 on Friday and I noticed yesterday dropped to $2.21 and now this morning it was $2.15. They just love to tease us then gouge us big time. I feel sorry for the truckers who have to pay these high prices.

They jumped back up yesterday morning in KC to $2.35 -- wouldn't you know it, we needed gas too!

Saturday we were in Michigan and gas there was $2.45 a gallon.
