Branson Trip

We just got back from Branson Sunday. These are the shows that we saw.

Friday July 29th
Yakov-It was a good show, some of the jokes can be alittle over kids heads, but it was still a good show. I went with my DD, mom, and friends and we all agreed that we liked "Slim Chance" better, especially the Romeo and Juliet scene. This isn't a show we would go see all the time, it was our first time seeing it. We would go again, but not just everytime. I got the tickets for all four of us with Reservebranson.com for $122.30 including tax

Saturday July 30th 3:00 pm
Salute to the 70's- I really wasn't sure if I would still like this show or not with all the changes, but it was a good show. I liked last years better. I really miss Clint (aka Human Q-tip), to me he is what made the show. Nedra was wonderful, as always. Some of the changes they made was good, I also miss Craig, played the lead guitar. I don't know if it was he day off, or if he is no longer with the show. All in all it was a good show and I would go again, once they start back up again. Got tickets with reservebranson.com for $74.56 including tax

#1 Hits of the 60's
This was my favorite. The cast was great, all are really talented and the band was great. Rev. Curlee can play a mean bass guitar. They asked my DD to dance with them on the stage, of course I thought she was great. Out of all the shows we saw this was the favorite for all of us. The had a little skit about the drive in movies, but the rest of the time was singing. I think one of the cast said that they would be singing at least 100 songs, and they did. Make several costume changes. This will be one show that we will go back each time we go. If you haven't seen this show you need to try it. Again we got the tickets from reservebranson.com and I think we paid 96.95 including tax.

Sunday July 31st 10:00 am
Act of God
I'm not really sure what to say about this show. I guess I can say it has a good message in it, but to be honest, I almost fell asleep. It was two hours of talking, and not much "acting". Yes they were suppose to be different characters, but still alot of talking. They had maybe 4 songs in the show. I think we thought it would be different then what we saw. We used our ticket stubs from the 60's show and got $6.00 off the admission. It cost $53.00 for all four of us. I don't think we will go see this show again.

I've posted where we ate on the Shopping and Dinning board. I also posted on the lodging as to where we stayed.

THANK YOU BRANSON MOM
I also have to say Thank you to Branson Mom for her web-site. She made it really easy to find places, shows, and everything else I needed to know. My mom found it really easy to find out thing on her web-site and was glad she didn't have to keep going from one site to another to find what she needed. It help to make our trip fun and worry free.

The lead guitar player I believe you are talking about is Greg Morton and he was there when we saw the show so he was probably just off that day.
