Silver Dollar City Refillable Mugs
Last time we were at SDC we saw people carrying around refillable mugs from previous years. Last time we were there new mugs were like $7 and refills about $1.75.
We have 2 mugs from a couple of years back, but my wife doesn't want to drag them around the park if we can't get the discounted refills in them. Anybody know the park's policy on using old mugs? Any money I can save is a bonus. Thanks for any quick replies. We leave for Branson in a couple of weeks. Allen ![]()

My very first mugs are from 5 years ago, and I used them this past March & April with no problem. Every year, we buy at least one more, because when we take the kids, and grandkids, they sure come in handy. This March I bought an "all-city" mug, that can be used at SDC, CC, and White Water. That's what we will start collecting now!
By the way...we buy the huge "clips" that will fit around the handle of the mugs (can be found LOTS of places in Branson), and just clip them to the belt loops of our jeans or shorts when we aren't using them. Keeps our hands free for other stuff....like funnell cakes!! ![]()

Cool, thanks for the information on the refillable mugs, had no idea that they existed at SDC.

We have 3 different style of refillable mugs - from 3 different years - the cost to refill them varies from $1 to $1.75 - and they charge what is on the mug (I think they all hold the same amount of liquid).
I think the fact that they'll refill mugs from previous years is probably one of the best kept secrets of SDC! ![]() |

Awesome. I had no idea there were belt clips for mugs. I'll have to see about getting me one when I'm down there in a couple of weeks.

We leave for Branson with our daughter and son-in-law and the grandkids on the 3rd of June, and I suppose that I will have to pack a small bag just for all of our mugs!! ![]() ![]() By the way...the "All-City" mug cost me $2.25 to refill at SDC in April. It's a little higher, but I think it's a little larger.

Thanks Pati.
As I recall, SDC will let you fill those mugs with any drinks they serve in the park including the premium stuff like the frozen lemonaide (which is otherwise pretty pricey.)

And during the Christmas season, there's that yummy hot chocolate concoction with chocolate shavings, whipped cream, and something else that I can't remember ... anyway, it was the works, and only $1.50 to fill the mugs we bought a couple years ago.
I believe you can also get the root beer floats in the Saloon. |

Yeah I got my hot cider in the souvenir mug in December.... I *love* that mug. It lights up and flashes. It's so cool!
I'll have to remember to pack it for my trip next week. Joy |

Yep...you can fill them with any drink at the park. I kept my filled with frozen lemonade when we were there in April...it turned out to be a hot day, and it was delicious. In the winter, I alternate between hot cider, hot wassil, and hot chocolate!
Shucks....I will barely miss you guys...I'm going the week after!

I've got a question. What's the difference between hot wassail and hot cider? Joy |

![]() There was a stand that was selling only wassail and spiced nuts. When we got ours, they took it out of a HUGE big pot, not out of the pitchers that they make the cider out of the instant mix in. It was Gooood!!! ![]()

Doesn't wassail have other spices in it... like cinnamon, cloves, maybe orange peel.
