Oh by the way, I forgot to mention don't order the chicken and dumplings. I don't think I would order steak at a place with a big rooster out front either. Call me crazy but I'm kinda skeptical about things like that.

Not on my list
This place isn't on my list of places to eat next week, but I was curious if it was brand new, or a re-named place, which is why I asked.
When I was last in Branson, well over 4 years ago, the Branson Cafe & the Shack were known to serve good fried chicken. Is that still the case? Heard one of them had been sold. What about Clockers? Of those 3, which consistently gets the most raves? |

The Risky Rooster used to be Peppercorns. Fogel did a big renovation, and re named it the Great American Steak and Chicken House. Some say it's better than it used to be, and better than the rest of the Fogel Fatal Five, but as you have seen here others don't agree.
Don't know about two of the three you mentioned, but I did have a decent burger at Clocker's. Still not Billy Bob's or Danna's though. For fried chicken in down town I'd have to say The Farm House. In fact for anything down town I'd say The Farm House! You might find info on the others you mentioned by using the search on the tool bar at the top of the page. I kinda remember some comments about them.
