looks like they've taken the snow out of the forecast, one place still shows a dusting to less than an inch but the other forecasts have completely removed it but still showing cooler than normal temps.

More signs of spring -- flowering quince, tulip trees and red bud in bloom. Haven't seen any dogwoods in bloom yet.

we have temps in the mid 30's with wind chills down around 20, weatherman this morning said don't be surprised if you see a few snow flakes but no big deal he says... my fruit trees might disagree with him.

I left KC about 5:30 am Sat. morning to come to Branson. About 6 am, I heard on the car radio they were seeing some snow flakes in the KC area. I kept right on driving, a little faster than before, to stay ahead of anything. They said it wasn't going to amount to much but I have learned that sometimes "not too much" means different things to different people.

Our brief spring was lovely and I am looking forward to having it back again SOON !!!!!!!

I know! The most dreaded words from a Weather Man are “snow Flurries possible”.

The one thing you can count on is not being able to count on the weather. Hopefully you will have good weather while you are in Branson. I know you will have a good time whether the weather is good or not so good.

It looks like most of the days that I will be there will be around 70 to 74°, which is perfect for me.

Even though it's been in the mid to low 20s in the early mornings this week, dogwoods are now blooming and the maypops are up.

I thought this last cold spree we had in the KC area would get my magnolia trees, which were just beginning to bud out but it looks like they are going to do pretty good this season with just a little damage.

My magnolia trees in Branson were looking very healthy last weekend when I was in Branson. No damage at all.

Has been a tough year for the trees.......and the people.

my weeks forecast... couple great days in the 80's, then a day in the 90's but with 50 mph wind gust (high fire danger day), then a couple days in the 50's... and.... depending on which tv station you believe next Saturday will either be cold rain and 40 degree's or several inches of snow.

at the very least supposed to get a hard frost, probably lost the peaches earlier and now the apple tree's are ready to pop out in blooms so probably lose then with this cold shot.
