Question Favorite Holiday Movies

We have already watched "A Christmas Story" twice and "Christmas Vacation" once this season so I am wondering what movies you recommend?

I prefer the older Christmas movies, such as:

Going My Way
The Bells Of St. Mary's
White Christmas
Miracle on 34th Street
Holiday Inn.

They tend to get away from the "girl goes back to hometown, meets old boyfriend and starts up where she left off", and just focuses on a happy Christmas season.

Those are some good ones! Thanks

I picked up one of those Christmas Channels on Roku and it has Christmas television episodes from The Andy Williams Show and The Glenn Campbell Good time Hour. Saving those to watch with some homemade cookies and egg nog.

Christmas vacation is a must see every year.
Just recently rewatched for the umpteenth time, Home Alone.
A Christmas Memory with Patty Duke is a great, heart warming tear jerker that I would highly recommend.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is definitely a family tradition.

(One of DD's favorite gifts last year was one of those reindeer glasses!)

I also got a reindeer glass (punch glass) a couple of years ago for a gift and I love it too.

Lots of favs. Christmas Story for one. Our Christmas eve tradition with the family includes watching Christmas Vacation, and Elf.
But, my all time favorite, and a must for the Christmas season, the 1938 version of A Christmas Carol. Staring Reginald Owen as Scrooge, Gene Lokhart as Bob Cratchit, kathleen Lockhart as Mrs. Cratchit, and a young June Lockhart, yes Timmy's Mom, Lost in Space June Lockhart, as Belinda Cratchit.

There are so many good ones this year, and when you add in all the new Christas movies on the Lifetime channel this year, it’s hard to keep up! We could be watching recorded Christmas movies well into January. . Because of this abundance of choices, I seldom get time to watch any old movies

For young children

My Son gave me this review of “The Star” after he watched it with his 4 and 8 year old sons.
“ Wow what a great movie! It held the boy’s attention and it was sweet and funny.
It’s on Netflix. I remember when it came out and I thought it looked good, but we never watched it. It’s about a little donkey and his bird pal eventually helping Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.”

All the above mentioned are very good, but there are a few outside of the "mainstream" that I enjoy yearly:

1. A Mom For Christmas (Olivia Newton-John-1990);
2. The Christmas List (Mimi Rogers-1997)
3. Snowglobe (Christina Milian-2008)
4. Holiday In Handcuffs (Mario Lopez/Milissa Joan Hart-2008);
5. Santa Baby (Jenny McCarthy-2007)

I think I have decided to watch "The Man Who Invented Christmas" , about Charles Dickens writing A Christmas Carol. I meant to see it last year but didn't.

Also I want to rewatch Seinfeld's Festivise episode.
I also like the "Marble Rye" episode. I have been wanting some Rye bread and some Pumpernickel Bread with cream cheese lately.
