Was my father-in-law's favorite candy -- he was very happy to get multiple boxes as gifts at Christmas. Sure miss him.

For years I had one of these Gumdrop Trees

But I gave it away to someone who said it reminded her so much of her childhood.
I remember my Grandmother in Georgia bring in a twig covered in thorns and sticking little colorful gumdrops on that.

My Grandma in Harrison had one of those. She loved for us kids to eat the gumdrops off them.

Sorry for the delay. Just saw your post.

Sorry, no diet Ooey Gooey Butter Bars but a 45 minute walk at Branson Recplex before I have one of them seems to even things up and if not....they are worth it for that special treat.

Favorite Christmas treats.
The "mix", original home made Chex mix.

The "balls", butter balls, pecan balls, snow balls, what ever you call those delicious little round home made cookies made with lots of butter, and full of pecan pieces, coated with powdered sugar.

Go Fast Green punch. A family tradition every year at our "In Between" Christmas party. The party name because it is always the Saturday in between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
It started at our wedding reception many years ago. A punch my wife's mom made with lime aide, lime sherbit, 7-Up, and Southern Comfort! It got it's name from my Best Man. A wirey little Irishman that raced motorcycles. The racing color for Kawasaki back then was called "Go Fast Green", and he transferred the name to the punch my mother-in-law had been calling "the recipe".

But they are pretty big-sized bars!

Btw, original thread is closed; so I can’t reply there, but I did want you to know that on Thursday when returning to St. Louis from Branson, I stopped in Ozark & got to try out Rosie Jo’s fried chicken! Yummy! Thanks for the recommendation!
