Branson Table Rock Lake Walking Trail to be closed during Corps Prescribed Burns

Personnel from the Army Corps of Engineers Table Rock Project Office will conduct prescribed burns on the Dewey Short Visitor Center Walking Trail Feb. 27 through March 2, if weather conditions are favorable.

During the prescribed burns, the walking trail from the Dewey Short Visitor Center to the Branson Belle will be closed to visitors.

These prescribed burns improve stand health, enhance wildlife value, and reduce fuel loading. It will also promote vigorous growth of new understory vegetation such as grasses and forbs important to wildlife for food and protective cover.

For more information, contact Park Ranger Clint Moore at 501-340-1936.
