Crescent hotel

Yes, the rooms are a little on the high side. Last year when we went to Eureka we didnt stay there, but we did take the "Ghost Tour". We didnt see any, (didnt expect to) but heard some great ghost stories and the history of the hotel is fascinating.

We have talked to some people who have stayed there and some strange things do happen. One person couldnt get much sleep because the TV kept turning itself on and the bathroom door kept opening and closing. He finally put the remote in a drawer and propped a chair against the door so it would stay put and he could sleep.

Here is a link to the ghost tour website

We stayed there many years ago (when Morris the Cat was still alive and wandering around the grounds). And we had a couple of instances that we couldn't explain so we think we had a friendly ghost with us at that time. I do know they liked to watch TV in the middle of the night. Had to get up and hide the remote a time or two. After that, just turned the sound down and went back to sleep. Was a little wierd, but didn't scare us or anything.

Honest, that is a true story!!!!!

Now I know who was turning on the remote -- Michael!

They described what happened to us to a tee! It must have been Michael the poltergeist! And my hubby remembers hearing squeeking in the hall and he thinks it might have been the wheelchair they described. He would like to stay there again, but I don't think they allow pets any more so that puts us out of the question. Might check into it anyway though. I'm sure they have the ghost of a certain blonde tabby cat there -- Morris!
