Drives near Eureka Springs.

Our trip to Branson had to be postponed. My hubby had knee surgery and is slowly recovering, but cannot do SDC or the shopping areas we usually do. Soooooo, we reserved a cabin near Eureka Springs for 3 days, so he can just ride in the truck and see the beauty, as well as look out the window or sit on the porch and see the view. Can you suggest some nice drives in the area? We want to go to War Eagle Mill and also to Beaver. I know we can't get to the restaurant at War Eagle. I plan to go to downtown ES while he's napping or just resting and walk around. Any suggestions for a nice drive in the area? We'll be there November 4-7.

Take US 62 East to Green Forest, turn South on 103 and again South on 43 to Ponca. At Ponca go East (left) on 74 Jasper. There a restaurant in Jasper if you want a bite to eat. From Jasper go North on Scenic 7 to Harrison. Then US 62 West will take you back to Eureka Springs.

Drive time somewhere around 3 hours (your results may vary).

I bet the leaves are about to peak this weekend.

Leaves are slow to turn. Early November may catch them just right.

Jasper is a nice area to drive around, that's where my mom lives. The Ozarks cafe in jasper is great. Get some sweet potato fries with a side of honey

The Cliff House near Jasper will still be open that week. The restaurant overlooks the "Arkansas Grand Canyon" .... very scenic! We plan to include that again in our Branson trip that first week in November.
