Not peaking yet, but there is some very pretty colors out there - my 3 yo granddaughter is noticing them daily - she likes the orange trees!

In a childs world, the trees should be orange, yellow, red, purple and blue.... not all green.

We were a little disappointed with the fall colors this week end. Should be really pretty in another week or so.....lots of sunshine would help!

Thanks for the beautiful photos, the one showing the dam is awesome. After last fall and the absence of color we weren't prepared for how beautiful the colors can be here. With the sun coming back out, it's a delight to be out enjoying all the beauty of the area.

Yes, today was a beautiful, bright, warm day! Why does the weather always get better on the 'going home day'?

Preacherman: You take such vivid pictures ---- thanks for sharing with us!

Saw some nice color between Branson and Eureka Springs on Thursday but it wasn't widespread. Also saw some beautiful maples in Harrison on Friday.

Yesterdays

color was fantastic. Course it was raining most of the day, but, I was
out and about in and around Branson, and kept seeing bright fall color everywhere I looked. Didn't have my camera, not sure it would have done any good due to, the overcast and rain. But, WOW, it was beautiful.
So much richer than previous years. IMHO

Unfortunately they are forecasting a hard freeze tonight, so this may be the last day of colorful trees.

We were enjoying the colors yesterday too. But as you say, pictures didn't work because of the overcast. I tried but it was futile.

Several leaves gone now. Found some pretty places though.

This burnt orange color is mostly what we see.

The freeze, if there was one, did not affect anything.
It certainly isn't as colorful as it was a few days ago. I was surprised when one of the residents here considered today still a "peak" day

We went down Sycamore Church road today.

This is at the bottom where you can go on the Henning trail (wood steps in the center in the trees) and see a historical area. An store was down there, I believe. Would have to read some of Ozarkman's notes again to remember the details.

This is getting back near the High Road ~ you can see it crossing the valley in the distance.

I have seen some stunning single trees this fall but no big groups of trees in peak color. I think there is more color here than in the Branson area.
