I know this doesn't help, but we'll be staying there late in July. I bought a half-off deal and will be redeeming it then. $69 for 2 nights, so I hope it's nice! The photos on their website look pretty good.

Stayed there once over 10 years ago. It was OK, but nothing special.

My understanding is that there is a new owner from "another country". It might be very inexpensive, but my experience with that kind of property has not been good in the past. YMMV

After a recent BG resort trip during which we were forced to stay on the road to get there I'm making a lodging observation. Increasingly, we're finding hotel/motel owners who are not American born, and that often translates to countries lacking in the amenities we're accustomed to. Because of that, those owners' ideas of what's "acceptable, good, great, etc." do not match those of typical American travelers. Unless the hotel/motel is a part of a chain that might control what things are maintained like, I believe we need to adjust our expectations down if we find ourselves in a hotel/motel owned by someone born outside the US.

During a recent vacation we stayed a couple times at motels owned by people from "another country". After that I came to the conclusion that we American travelers need to adjust our motel expectations down in order to better match those of the new owners. In many cases I'm sure they feel what they're offering is great because of conditions in their home country. It's a sad commentary on the lodging field. Now to get what we've become accustomed to we must spend a great deal more money.
