Italian Charm Bracelet

Do you have one? or two? Or more?
When we were visiting our friend in Maui two years ago
she gave me one for my Birthday. I love it and started
adding charms, starting with our courtship, marriage & charms
that remind us of where we've been. I wear it a lot!

As you put a charm on, one blank link comes off,
thus you can start making a bracelet for family members.

The first one is located in the Welk Center in Branson.

I have two filled up. One is all Disney related. The second one has mostly charms from places we visit on vacation.

Yes, I've had one for years! Got it in 2002, and I do still wear it a lot. I haven't added any new charms in quite a while though. It seems that a lot of stores around here who used to carry them did so mainly when it was all the rage, and now that they've been out a number of years, not as many carry them.

You do need to be careful and not purchase the ones that break easily.
Nomination & Zoppini are the best quality bracelets. I even purchased
the little tool that you put them on with, for I could never do it by hand alone.

Think ahead for those Christmas presents!

I've only bought the good quality charms ... most of those are $18 and up. I still like mine and wear it often, but like I said, they've peaked here and are becoming sort of passe'.

Don't have one

But I know a few who do! I am so glad to know of a place in Branson that still sells them. The kiosk in our mall closed up and my ma and grandmom were devastated. Thanks for the info!

Silver Dollar City now has a charm that they sell in the big gift shop as you leave. I had to get one!

I don't have the Italian Charm bracelet... not my style - I have an "old fashioned" charm bracelet. It's from James Avery - a popular jeweler here in South Texas. Hubbie and the kids LOVE it because they know that they can always buy me a charm when they run out of options for birthday/mother's day... laugh. I have to get a new bracelet tho'... my first is getting full and heavy...

My SIL AND niece have the Italian Charm bracelet's ... I love it... because I have something I can get them... hahaha... We had a blast at the store in Branson a couple years ago - they LOVED getting the charms and seeing SO MANY!!!

I have one of the charm bracelets from way back, probably similiar
to yours.I don't wear it for it is heavy, but like to look at it and the
charms and reminise!

I do wear my Ilalian charm bracelet a lot. Had no clue what they
were until we were in Maui three years ago and our friend gave me
one for my Birthday with 3 charms on it, Maui of course, a Pineapple
& a Rainbow. I love rainbows and we saw a Rainbow every day we
were there. a few times a double one!

Anyway, I've filled up the bracelet with places we've been & started
other bracelets for just about everyone in our family. In fact, I have two
in the drawer with charms started that some of them havent gotten yet!
.........they don't know they're getting one, until now I guess!

I try to find charms too when we travel. Mine aren't as easy to find.... laugh... it is fun for the memories though isn't it?

The "traditional" ones can get heavy... but I love it! That's why I need another bracelet (or two... haha). They also sell a "charm holder" kind of a ring you can put on a necklace...

James Avery is very popular in South Texas... he does BEAUTIFUL crosses.. I think that's how he got his start. I'd never heard of him until we moved here. The "home office" is in Kerrville, TX. My stuff is in sterling silver - not as expensive... though he also does gold.

My son bought his girlfriend a beautiful locket for her birthday... it's gold AND silver... I've taught him well... hahaha... he put a picture of them together in one side and a sweet teeny love note in the other...

Pamlet, I have friends in Port Neches, TX who visited with me last year. Before that, they had sent me a James Avery catalog. There are some very nice quality items in it.

The quality of JA stuff is beautiful ... and in the bigger scheme of things VERY affordable if you buy it in bits and pieces... laugh. It always brings a smile when I get one of their little boxes...
