All things superbowl weekend thread

Well the media is treating it like a National Holiday or something, I guess we should have a thread to celebrate the almighty SUUUPERRR BOWLLLL

so anyone got big plans? party's, sports bar, home with the family, rent a movie?

ready to pic a favorite commercial, diss the halftime show?

oh and as a side note... there is a game being played, from what little I follow pro football just based on the playoff games 2 weeks ago it could be an interesting matchup.

Watched the Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials last night. Was on CBS earlier this week and has been replaying on the NFL channel. I didn't really agree with the top 10 funniest commercials that were selected -- perhaps my sense of humor is different. Saw some of the commercials for this year during this special and during the Today show this week.

Our plans are to catch up on movies we have recorded. We would have watched the Super Bowl if either the Chiefs or the Saints were playing. Just not into the Patriots or the Rams....

They should do the top 10 (well maybe top 50) worst referee calls in 2019.. They would have plenty to choose from

Like you wish the Saints were playing, going to have to root for the Pat's. Its not that i dont like the Rams, but the way they got there is completely wrong..

GO PATS!@@

I guess considering the Super Bowl mess this year, instead of people drinking into oblivion they are going to eat into oblivion. Sounds better to me. Wonder if I could throw some chicken wings at the screen.

I didn’t vote in the poll since none of the available options work for me. No, my team isn’t playing - and hasn’t for 49 years now. But I love football, and so i’ll Watch. Going to a friend’s house to enjoybsome fellowship, eat foods I don’t normally eat, cuss at the announcers as they dawn over Brady, and pray that he will change his freaking mind and retire after this season. Not sure which will work better to force that decision - a Pats’ win so he goes out on top? Or a Pats’ loss and Brady getting knocked around enough he decides he can’t put himself through it again . It would help if his O-line didn’t give him so stinking much protection so the defense could get to him. Of course, the refs protect hi
As much as anyone. Hey - maybe the refs from the NFC Championship game can work this one and help the Rams again...

When you sit down to watch the big game, I hope everyone will offer a moment of silence for all the chickens..

Moooow. A lot of cow going in that chili. Shall they be forgotten? Personally going to make a big pot of cow infused chili, let it simmer all day then heading to the beach for sunset, then Netflix/Amazon here I come.

"Cow infused chili." Wow, I'd like to see a video of that being made. Hope they at least blindfold the cow..
Let's also remember that cows never did fly so they are not missing that. Chickens on the other hand, hey, you lose those wings and flying is history. Let that sink in..

Dare I admit this? It's the only football game I watch all year!
(My level of Super Bowl "awareness" consists of knowing the names of the two teams and the location of the stadium. However, all is not lost because I do like chicken wings.)

I think that my favorite part was the Sponge Bob clip during halftime.
