Restaurant serving trout?

Why don't more restaurants, in Branson, serve trout?

You can find catfish almost anywhere. And, with all the trout fishing in the area, you would think that trout would be served a lot of places.
But, I haven't been to a restaurant in Branson that has trout on the menu.

Any suggestions?

If you don't mind the drive - go down south of Branson to junction of Highways 62 and 65 in Arkansas and go to DeVito's. The grow their own trout at the trout farm there and my hubby loves it!

Candlestick Inn Restaurant serves a trout amandine. Filet encrusted with maple roasted almonds. Found this on their menu.

in my opinion...i make the best sweet tea in my house
however i am the only one that drinks sweet tea in my house.
cooking for everyone...lets do a 1branson.com get together here in town, i wouldnt mind at all it would be fun

I am almost positive my husband ordered the trout at Buckingham's restaurant at the Clarion. The kids ate free too, which was a plus! Anyway, he said it was good. You could get it pan fried or grilled I believe.

My husband is fishing today and he usually cooks dinner on his day off. So he says last night "How about fried trout for dinner" LOL We'll see how many he brings home

I can see right now that you and Mr Blaze would get along all too well!
As far as a get together, we'll be in Branson for about 3 days beginning
around April 9th. I'll know for sure by the end of the day and will post a thread in the chit 4 chat section. We'd love to meet any & all of you!

Oh, we had pecan crusted trout at Big Cedar Lodge last year. YUM YUM!
