Proposed new water park

Here's more info from Branson Tri-Lakes about the proposed new water park near the Henning Conservation area west of Branson. The group proposing the water park will be meeting with the Branson TIF commission on Monday.

http://bransontrilakesnews.com/news/...3bab4f4c0.html

There are 2 drawings of the proposed park with the article.

they built a Whitewater rafting park in OKC a couple years ago.

at the time I thought that was silly, whitewater rafting in the middle of a big city that'll never work... but you know what I guess from news reports it's been pretty successful. remember one news story where there were summer Olympians training there. so it might work in Branson.

Have seen that rafting park on a couple of shows on the Travel Channel.

TIF approved

The commission approved the TIF 7 - 4. More details from KY3:

Now the proposal goes before the Board of Aldermen.

No TIF ?? No necessary political connections ?

What happened to one of the best ideas to come along in a long time ? It would have greatly enhanced the Branson experience and reputation.

Multiple stops along the way for show and attraction attendance between The Landing and SDC sounded really good with a very small "footprint" wherever the supporting towers would be located. What gives ?
