Meals & Snacks 9/16-9/22

9/16 Lunch at Club 57. The food was "OK" but the atmosphere was fabulous.
"Chocolate Fix": Northwoods Candy Emporium at Branson Landing
9/17 Dinner at Danna's BBQ Yummy Smoked Chicken and Chicken/Strawberry Salad!.

9/18 Dinner at Shogun in Falls Creek Center. Hibachi Vegetables were delicious!

9/19 Lunch at Bleu Olive Chappy Mall, downtown Branson. Open since July. Excellent lunch: Grilled Chicken Pannini with caramelized onions on homemade foccacia bread. Marv had Chicken Caesar Wrap. Both came with a cup of Lemon Chicken Rice soup. The coffee was Vanilla Bean.
Dinner at Shorty Small's Branson Landing Food was "OK" server was great!

9/20 Lunch at Billy Gail's "OK" food...great atmosphere!
Snack at Tater Patch at SDC: Sweet Potato Fries were fabulous.

9/21 Lunch at Mel's Hard Luck Diner Food was "so-so". The entertaining wait staff was outstanding.
Snack at Andy's Frozen Custard Chocolate with espresso blended...YUM!
Dinner at Tony Z's Outstanding food. I had "Tony's Garden Grill": marinated veggies grilled and served on a bed of spinach served with Tuscan Potatoes-red potatoes mashed with garlic. Marv had "Penne Antonio": grilled chicken, zucchini, roma tomatoes with olive oil and wine sauce.

9/22 Lunch at Fall Creek Restaurant The catfish fillet sandwich was very good. I caught a roll!
Dinner at Bleu Olive again! I had "Shrimp Tourkolimano": shrimp sauted with plum tomatoes, capers, spinach, feta cheese over parmesan rice pilaf. OUTSTANDING Marv had "Mediterranean Angel Hair Pasta": with sundried tomatoes, basil, pesto, spinach, and feta cheese. EXCELLENT. A wonderful last evening in Branson meal.

Isn't it owned by...OH, what's that Greek man's name...the one who used to own the floating restaurant, before The Landing was built?
Hi Mellie,
The prices are quite reasonable.
My dinner was $17 and Marv's was $11
Our lunches were $7 each
The Executive Chef/Owner is Sam Papanikas

This was our first visit to Branson, so I can't respond to the "floating restaurant" question.

I have to agree with the "so-so". We do eat there some, and the food is pretty good. But we go to enjoy the music. Our son, who is only 3 loves it. He is so cute, and always gets LOTS of attention.

Dimitri owns the Chappy Mall, and leased the restaurant to the owner of Bleu Olive. I believe that Dimitri's family operates the Euro Cafe, also in Chappy Mall, and his son runs Gyros & More on Hwy 76 (across from the entrance to Tanger, I believe).

Thanks for the review. Shorty Smalls is always on our list. Think we are going to try Fall Creak this time as we have never been there. Man can't wait to get back to Branson

Branson history flashback...
Anyone remember years ago when Dimitri had the restaurant downtown and was shot by one of the cooks?

Yes, I do...Wasn't he shot in the juggler (sp?) vein and he almost died? That is the rumor that I heard...
