What’s New at the YMCA?

The Ozark Mountain YMCA announces a number of expansions for 2008. The Ozark Mountain community can now enjoy new equipment, leagues, classes, and new hours. Ozark Mountain Family YMCA is dedicated to providing a high-quality wellness experience for people in all stages of life.

The facility has expanded its hours on weekdays and Saturday.
Monday-Friday 5:30am-11:00 pm
Saturday 8:00am- 6:00 pm
Sunday Closed

New classes include; Cross Training, Bosu Cardio Conditioning, A Lunch Express Cardio, Go Ball-istic, and additional cycling classes are now available. These new classes are in addition to the current classes such as Sculpt and Tone, Step aerobics, Kick-abs, Parent Toddler, Flab to Fab, NIA and SilverSneakers® classes such as Yoga Stretch and Cardio Circuit. In addition, Cardio Theatre Personal viewing screens are now available on the Cybex machines to keep members entertained and motivated.

Children of YMCA members will now receive a chance to participate in Pre-school open gymnastics on Friday’s from 10:15am-11:15am, Open gymnastics on Saturdays from noon- 2pm, and Kids Night Out, which is the last Friday of each month. These are fun filled free events that any child can enjoy.

Our teen center now includes the latest technology trends including Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero and the Nintendo Wii is now available for teenage enjoyment.

Coming soon, the YMCA will be adding additional features including the expansion of the weight lifting area that currently holds our full line of free weights, a rock climbing wall, and renovations of the aerobics room, kidszone, and the teen center.

Many positive changes have come to the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA already and we are looking forward to expanding further throughout the year.

The Ozarks Regional YMCA has served the community for over 119 years and has over 20,000 members in the association to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. The Ozarks Regional YMCA consists of seven branches including, The Ozark Mountain Branch in Hollister, Bolivar, Monett/Cassville, Camp Wakonda, Child Care branches and two facilities in Springfield.
