AVG Free Edition VS. Others?

I have installed, uninstalled again, reinstalled, & uninstalled AVG, and it won't launch on startup, & screws up email. Anyone else have trouble with this?

I've been using it for several years and haven't had a problem. Sorry! I'm no help.

I also had problems with it especially with e-mail. I had it on in conjunction with Norton and finally just took it off altogether.

Thumbs down

I read on their website that it doesn't work with Norton's. Now the icons are gone, & I have no idea where to go to uninstall it again. I don't like VISTA!!

I have not used AGV...from Grissoft..

I just read something, as my Son uses it and he sent me some info that I cannot find....for me....when I uninstall this horrible New 2007 Nortons and install it.

There is a professional and a home FREE use...which one must search for on Grissoft (+(SP)....

I think its been 7.0 now with VISTA going to 7.5. It's compatible.

Go to my computer
............ Control Panel
............ Add Remove Programs

And look through the list

I understand that VISTA doesn't have a start button in lower left, but it has a BUTTON...you can access from there.

And My Computer Control Panel and Add/Remove might be something else.....but it sounds pretty much the same.

I think if you make VISTA look like old WINDOWS it might be easier in the beginning....you can change it back...

Right click on Desktop and go to Properties and follow prompts.

Try the forum and read up on Vista here: http://www.komando.com ....

or...this is a local person for me, Paige has this website:

http://www.2smartchix.com/

She is good with help....however also struggling with VISTA and its quirks...cause some STUFF isn't as compatible as they say it is.

Here are Paige's issues and hair pullings and stuff lol with her new vista:

http://blog.viewsfromthecoop.com/

Everyone is learning how to....

I won't install my VISTA, YET....I have to wait and see whats what...

I did that with new explorer....now I love it...

Good Luck engel.

Problem with AVG 7.5 Virus Definition updates! February 10, 2007

Posted by vftc in : Blogroll, General Information, Virus , 5comments
This morning, I automatically downloaded AVG’s latest virus definitions (5886193 and 6231226) and then spent the rest of my day trying to find out what went wrong. I went to the AVG Free Forum (you have to register to be able to post), and found out that I wasn’t the only one who was having issues.
