New Orleans Hotel Recommendations

Anyone have a great hotel recommendation for New Orleans? Looking to go with a friend for a few days in late January. We will want to be pretty close to the French Quarter. My friend will be needing to use a motorized scooter due to health issues, so something right there in "the thick of things" would be good so we can just go have fun and roll back home.

Thanks!

That's a thought. I'm just starting to look. I know we are looking at maybe 3 nights there and then maybe head east for a couple of days, like Biloxi maybe.

Greetings,

I checked out of the Sheraton Hotel, at 500 Canal Street, in New Orleans, after a 3 Night Stay, yesterday morning. Very close to the French Quarter. You actually do not want to be in the Quarter itself, as you will not get any sleep.

If you really need to be in the thick of things, the "Four Points by Sheraton" is at the Corner of Bourbon and Toulouse.

Make sure you visit "Fritzel's European Jazz Club" for Dixieland Jazz Music. You should be in there by 7pm. The Band normally comes on at 8pm.

Need any more info, feel free to send a PM.

Coach Man.

during my 1 New Orleans visit I stayed at the Monteleone near the French Quarter. It was for business so not my nickel but I enjoyed the stay.

Thanks for the info Coach Man. Yeah, we don't really want to be right IN the Quarter. Just close enough she'll be able to get there easily using the scooter.

Once you are sure of your dates, get your reservation in. If there is a Convention on, Rooms will fill up and the rates will go up, too.

I'm just outside of Boston now, ready to start 2 Fall Foliage Trips.

NOLA is awesome for so many other music genres besides Dixieland Jazz.
Try Big Al Carson at The Funky Pirate on Bourbon St.
