The Lennon Sisters 65 Years Ago

Exactly sixty-five years ago today, on Christmas Eve 1955, a phenomenon occurred when Lawrence Welk introduced the world to the Lennon Sisters on his Christmas show. We were blessed then, and ever since, with their charm, their voices, and their music. And to think that they chose Branson to live in for the last 20+ years, amazing. It has been so fun to watch their yearly Branson Christmas show in person each year, I missed it very much this year. And, they had planned a very big 65th year Christmas celebration in Branson, but with the Chinese Wuhan virus concerns, they decided to postpone it...I'm hoping we get to see their 65th anniversary special next year! Meanwhile they released some cd/dad's for the celebration, and there is a newly updated PBS special airing currently, that is awesome. Compare these girls/ladies throughout their careers to modern "musicians" such as Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, whose song lyrics are so bad they cannot be printed in entirety on this board or in newspapers. CLASS versus TRASH, imo. Thank you, Lennon Sisters for your decades of hard work and professionalism...and all those wonderful memories of time gone by!
