Starlite --- New Museum

This weekend in branson, the word on the street is Starlite will be going through a major renovation into a museum..

The word on the street in town? It will be a National Inquirer Museum.!.

There is mixed info about the building itself..
couple of the guys told me they would be leveling the building and do a complete rebuild....
couple of others said no, rebuild existing building, Atrium and all..

So time will tell...

None the less, the Branson landscape as we've known it, is "a-changin' ..." Possible aquarium, museum, a rumoured dinner-show, and Wonderworks ... all replacing (how be it some vacant) music-theaters! It's going to be interesting to see if these new ventures succeed!

4 new attractions - NONE of them music realated..

NO new scows announced yet for next year.

The ball seems to be rolling in a completely opposite direction for Branson.

As of an hour ago the destruction is underway, at least in the atrium. I wish they would not pick on the nicest theatres. Anyone want to protest?

according to that link the two guys behind the National Enquirer museum to be built in Pigeon Forge is the guy building Wonderworks and the president of Ripley's. so Branson would be a logical place for them considering both have ties there.

if you google National enquirer pigeon forge on the google page it will show an artist drawing of what that one looks like, if they are doing it in Branson as well I suppose we can expect something similar.

so if true we'll have a giant chicken, a giant ape, a giant octopus, a giant meatball, an upside down house for wonderworks, and a.. not sure how to describe the Enquirer.. kind of a skyscraper that has toppled over,

I did not get any pics today, but I'll try to get some next time I'm by there. Not that much to see right now, just a large pile of rubble in the middle of the atrium. The outside is untouched, but that will probably change quickly.
Also noticed for the first time that Jimmie Johns has closed/departed. Guess they were afraid the octopus would reach over and raid the kitchen. Bummer, that was a primary source of boat food for us.

I hope they leave the Atrium part as is, I don't know why... just been there long enough it seems like it's supposed to be there or something.
