Branson Walk Of Fame

In another thread regarding the Osmonds receiving their Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood last week, someone suggested that Branson should have a WALK OF FAME.

What do you think???? I think it would be cool!

In Hollywood it's done through the Chamber of Commerce.

Where should it be?

Downtown along the lake front - or a star on the sidewalk, every 200 yards or so down HWY 76?

sounds like a great idea to me!

Recon we could get a BB star?

A "BB Star" -- that should be a given.

I would think they would do it along the lakefront with the new project, then extend through downtown and then on the strip. It sounds like a great idea to me.

I would like to see it at the new landing development with adjacent facilities provided to the College of the Ozarks to expand their museum. The first stars should go to the Herschend Family, the Mabe Family, and the Presley Family. A special plaque should be dedicated to the citizens of Branson for making it such a nice place. And, a fountain should be dedicated to whoever came up with the idea to develop Branson as it is today. If you could bottle this idea and sell it to the world, what a better place it would be to live in.

The Lakefront Project should remember the Branson Heritage. I'll bet that the Branson Stars would donate items to a Downtown Museum, which would tie the downtown to the 76 Strip and encourage Visitors to go to the Shows.

I think the BoxCar Willy should have a Star on the Walk of Fame.

You've got my vote, Suse. Box Car was such a HUGE part of Branson entertainment.

The Presleys and Baldknobbers also!

Roy Clark was the first "name" star to open a theater in Branson. According to what I've read, he invited others to perform at his theater and they decided to get on the bandwagon.

The list could go on and on.

Suse: I like your idea of a Branson Entertainment Museum. Way cool!

Mr Huffman should come here to find out what the people want in the new Downtown Branson - A Branson walk of Fame, a Branson memorbilia museum, the Pirate cruise ship, and Queen Lake -- add the best fudge in Missouri to the good places to eat downtown, - and a good show - and you've got a GREAT new Downtown area!
