Wanting to move to the Branson area / Springfield

Hello, My wife and I are wanting to move either to the Springfield area where we have a lot of family and friends or Branson...My wifes last job of 6 years she was a Department Manager over 3 departments and supervised a staff of over 80 and I have over 17 years of TV / Radio / Show set up / Tech...I am currently working for an Audio / Visual company as a Show Tech setting up shows from small meeting rooms to Big productions and concerts before that I was a Technical Director for a weekly worldwide broadcast TV show for 2 1/2 years and producing shows while still working as a Radio DJ. I have Run camera's, set ups for video production shoots, rigging, lighting set up and programming, Audio ect....just about everything associated with putting on a show either Theater or concerts. I know they are building a convention center and a Hilton so they would need a A/V tech person or any of the shows that may be looking a tech / camera operator / lighting ect.... If anyone has any leads for my wife and I either a Name, number or a web site we can check out please e-mail me at cw2908@aol.com. Thank You.

Check out Careerbuilders.com and Ozarkshelpwanted.com

There are usually several Admininistrative assistant possitions available in accounting firms, and hospitals available.

I've also seen several openings for radio, as well as A/V persons for hospitals, the local TV stations, and such. My cousin does A/V work with Bass Pro - she gets to do a lot of traveling for advertising - what a job!

The best way to find a job in the Branson/Springfield area is to go to the area. I realize it's not always affordable to do but in the off season you can get weekly rates on motels at $120 and during the season many places offer reasonable package deals for 2 or 3 day getaways. My girlfriend and I just attended a job fair at Celebration City and got hired for basic jobs at Silver Dollar City. At the same time we were there a couple of show places were hiring for all areas from concessions to performers.

I've lived in both cities and both are wonderful places to live!

Tiger, I'm a broker for a 30+ year old real estate firm in Branson. If you'd like, send me your criteria and I'll run a search for you. I'll then send you a link to the results or if you'd like, I can have the MLS system email you anytime something new comes on the market that matches your search criteria.

Looking for property these days is SUPER easy.

Well there's plenty of shows and many more churches around the area.

Good luck hunting.

I would suggest you contact all the big theaters. Go to http://www.explorebranson.com and get the contact info for the theaters. Seems like a lot of them have been advertising since they're getting ready to start back up for the season. I know Shoji was looking for lighting & sound techs not too long ago. Your wife might check with Skaggs Hospital, or there are several clinics in town operated by Cox or St. Johns.

Good Luck!

This looks perfect for you!

http://tvcbranson.com/employment_opportunities.htm

You can also look at openings in Springfield online at the newspaper, springfieldnewsleader.com - Also Monster.com has some listings. Bass Pro has their own website, basspro.com.

There have been A LOT of positions posted in the Branson Daily News lately. I would suggest you get a 3 month subscription mailed to you, contact them at bransondailynews.com (The only jobs listed online are the bigger display ads).

Good Luck!
