Exclamation Daniel O'Donnell - Postponed to 2021

Daniel has cancelled his shows, scheduled for November at the Welk Resort, and will return in November 2021;

Our company does not produce Daniel O’Donnell’s concerts, so I am speaking only in general terms about such an undertaking.

Currently when entering the United States from Ireland folks need to be quarantined for 14 days, and then when they return to Ireland they would have to be quarantined for another 14 days. When you are traveling with a large group from overseas, the cost of quarantining for such a long time is astronomical. You are also taking people away from their families and preventing them from working elsewhere during that time. Therefore, in addition to any other issues, the extreme costs to present his shows is a very real factor in the postponement. Daniel always draws well, he would not have canceled the dates unless it was absolutely necessary.

You can expect more cancellations, from other Travelling Entertainers, too.

I am sure. I know there are tons of cancellations everywhere. Not the least of which is Broadway. I was looking at making a trip to see Hugh Jackman in The Music Man. Bummed.

I've already seen several sources report no live NYC Broadway shows anywhere until 2021.

Yes. There was an announcement last week that not only Broadway but also off-Broadway 2020 season is cancelled. Sad because it effects a huge number of people behind the folk people see onstage.

I believe that Daniel O'Donnell has canceled all appearances in 2020, including in his Irish homeland.

This virus is ruining so many jobs. I feel for all the people in the entertainment industry on stage and behind the scenes.

Yes, that includes his entire UK tour that was scheduled for October, just previous to Branson, and also his Christmas shows in Dublin, Ireland.

I think Nathan Carter will wait a bit before postponing. Things could actually get better in four months! I am not sure if the media wants the virus to go away.
