Lena's Tea Room

My husband and I have visited Lena's tea room about 3 times and are sad to say won't be open much longer The owner is retiring and has put it up for sale. So far, it is still open. Don't know if she will continue to keep it open much longer. We both enjoy tea rooms, so are hoping that someone else will purchase it to continue on the tradition of having a tea room in Branson. If there is another tea room, I have not heard. If you know of one, would you post it?

While not actually being a tea room, or calling itself one, Branson Inn Eatery is pretty close. At least that was my impression when we went there a few years back.

Bobbi Helms has run that place since Harold Bell Wright ate there. Nicest lady in the world. She's been trying to sell it for a few years now. Age catches up with all of us. If you get the chance you MUST visit. It's like a trip into 1957.

Harold Bell Wright has been dead 75 years. How old is this person?

He wrote Shepard of the Hills in 1907, She opened the tea room when she was 25. So she's around 137!

If she's 137, she deserves to retire!

Bradford Inn, which I think only served breakfast to hotel guests this year. I agree, it was quite like a tea room and very good when I ate there several years ago.
