New BBQ restaurant

Drove by a week or so ago, and noticed a new BBQ restaurant in the little stand alone building on Veterans Blvd, old town Branson, the one that used to house the Tea Party campaign headquarters. Oscars Famous Ribs, I think. Anyone tried it yet?

Not at the restaurant. But Oscar's has had stands at various grocery stores around town for a lot of years. It's always been decent. Not the best, but decent. *Keep in mind that I am very much a BBQ snob!*

I have heard that Oscar's has a new owner. Not sure how this will change the taste and quality of their food.

I've had Oscar's ribs when they were on the Country Mart parking lot in Hollister. Very good and good prices. I haven't had them for awhile so no idea now.

Very true!!! But, just as in KC, there are all sorts of differing opinions as to what is good BBQ! I know in KC, you have people who swear that Arthur Bryant's is the be-all-end-all of "Q". Personally, I wouldn't give you a plug nickel for Arthur Bryant's! Give me Joe's, Jack Stack, or Rosedale as my top 3. I've been hearing a lot about Q39, but haven't yet been there.
