Branson Day 3

After a great breakfast at the Waffle House for hubby's favorite cinnamon and sugar waffle, we took advantage of slow Monday morning traffic and went and picked up some of our tickets.

Our morning show was Jim Owen, as reported early Jim is retiring at the end of the year. But he said that he is planning on doing some touring in between fishing trips. He is also doing a cruise this winter and planning on getting married again on the cruise. The show was good as usual, even without the live band, (I do enjoy a live band, but also understand that sometimes it's not practical.

Susie Weber was back for her first day, she had a baby girl 3 weeks ago.
Jim has three very talented back up singers, Susie did some Loretta Lynn sons, Lisa Lane did an awsome Trio of Patsy Cline, and the third gal, sorry can't remember her name, did Tammy Wynette. Great show, we will miss Jim's country stories.

Our afternoon show was Joey Riley, his Git er Done band is really great and of course there is quite a bit of fiddle playing, which we love. Joey does a Grand Old Opry where he plays George Jones, Johnny Cash and several others. There was a nice size crowd, especially for a Monday.Joey announced he is taking his show to afternoons at the Micky Gilley theater next year, and also that he is getting married on Feb 14th.

We decided to go to Bob Evans for dinner, we both had the roast turkey dinners and they were excellent. Would recommend them for Thanksgiving if they are open.

Our evening show was Pierce Arrow and again it was a great show with a good size crowd. The music was very good and the comedy of Jarrett Dougherty was outstanding as usual. The man totally cracks us up!

All in all, it was a great day, seems like we just got here and we're already almost half way thru our week.

Sounds like love is in the air in Branson with two entertainers getting married! Glad you are enjoying your trip. Don't you just hate that times goes by so fast, when you're having fun!
This year was our first full week in Branson, and I really enjoyed it, but it was over much too soon. Maybe next year we'll stay two weeks!

Thanks for the review once again. Pierce Arrow is on our list for one of the trips next year. Heard lots of good things about that show.

Thanks for the review!! I'm so ready to be there.
I was wondering if Suzi had her baby already. Good to hear that she's back in the show.
