Dolly's Stampede

Does anyone know if the show has changed when the name did? Is it still North vs South??

We were there last year, and they still did the North/South rivalry competition. You still chose your seats by North or South. Still had the servers in blue or gray depending on what side.
Haven't been yet this year, and not really sure we will again.

DOLLY PARTON’S STAMPEDE
Dinner Attraction
The Most Fun Place to Eat!
Dolly Parton’s Stampede is an extraordinary dinner show with thirty-two magnificent horses and a cast of top-notch riders. They will thrill you with daring feats of trick riding and competition, pitting North against South in a friendly and fun rivalry. You will enjoy a barrel full of music, dancing, special effects and family friendly comedy along the way. Celebrate as the North and South join together in a patriotic salute of Red, White and Blue featuring COLOR ME AMERICA, written and recorded by Dolly herself. The Patriotic Grand Finale soars with flying Doves of Peace, luminous costumes and fireworks, reminding you of the pride and spirit of America.
That should answer your question.

I know, just the name change is enough to make me seriously consider skipping that show.
Maybe spend the money on T-shirts and hats from Dixie Outfitters instead.

A year or two late. The plantation setting inside was replaced with a giant LED screen that changes through many backdrops. Can't say on the server's uniform colors, but last year they were still blue and gray.
But one thing I did get from the post. The next thing these revisionist history snowflakes are going after is the Indians!!!!
The horse rider and Thunderbird is such a beautiful act, but I'm sure these thin skinned PC snowflakes will get it removed too.
No wonder I have my doubts about ever going there again.

We were there 2 years ago and I thought there were a lot of changes, and we enjoyed the show, the show we saw was in the summer, hope to go back and see the Christmas show again sometime.

as to the changes, 2 years ago when we were there the North now wore Red and the South wore Blue.

the theme was more of a western theme, nice change the old show was getting a little stale in my opinion. a post above quotes an article that says the Indian and thunderbird was "awkward" I disagree I didn't see anything awkward in it at all, beautifully done.

the biggest change is the giant video screen on one end and instead of a plantation setting a rock face where the animals and actors come from, the screen is very real and a nice addition.

the competition and food have stayed the same.

We went last May and the show was more of an Old West themed show now.

I suppose I'll just wait for the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud ....unless they too, decide to become politically-correct!
