Thumbs up Schlotzsky's Now Serving

We were eager to check out the new Schlozsky's, so we figured an early supper would beat the crowd. Not so much, we arrived to a jammed up parking lot that forced us to take refuge in the Olive Garden plot. I was worried that we'd come back to a windshield smeared with meatballs, but they were good sports about it--apparently, at least no lawsuits or tickets arrived in the mail-yet.
The fairly long order line moved right along so that was no problem.
While waiting I commented that I really did not care for the way the seating was arranged and the type that was used. DW commented that this was how the "younger folks" like it. All righty then, I guess I like it after all.
They have a very full menu ranging from the original sandwiches, (I had my fav which is the Angus Beef & Cheese on a sourdough bun while DW had a Turkey on a wheat bun.) They have some new sliders one of which is brisket, along with tacos, pizza, and lots of salads. The morning crowd can get a "Cinnabon.
Beer and wine is also available.
I'm certain we will be seeing a lot of this place.

Seems a little radical to be serving beer & wine with a Cinnabon for the morning crowd... but that's just my 2 cents.

I should have said--the menu items are in no particular order.
OTOH, "beer and bons" might be worth a try.

Not at the moment, I belive they intend that for warmer days.
I think they were talking about using the patio, but there is very little space there unless we are talking a one person show.

While you are at it, hold about a few poles.

Ate here for lunch today. Wasn’t really impressed. They’re trying too hard to be a little bit of everything. The sandwiches we had were ok, but not worth what they charge. Nobody else was in front of us and it took at least 15 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Everyone was nice of course and the place was very clean and nice. I’m sure it’ll do ok but I doubt we return as it’s just not worth it.

Thanks for the review. I will wait till I am on that end of the Strip to try it. Not going to make a special trip during my lunch Hour.

Tried the "aloha brisket sliders" today and they were quite yummy. However, on the negative side, they did manage to screw up about half our order, (omissions and errors) but we survived.

Takes a lot of expensive sandwhiches to pay for that location, property and building....

Parking lot looks rather limited. looks like if you park on the side you might get stuck with drive thru traffic
