Best Mexican restaurants?

Coming next month with the whole clan. They love Mexican. I've only been to Little Hacienda and that was a couple of years back. Any other recommendations? Any price range is fine. We like everything from the inexpensive hole in the wall joints to the more pricey ones so long as the food is good and there is a nice selection of cold beer!

Cantina Laredo for sure the "best". Like Not said, upscale. But not pretentious. Very nice atmosphere, outside seating with a view of lake Taneycomo, and the fountains. But the big thing is the food. Just like the atmosphere, it not like your every day strip mall Mexican joint. Yes, they have the familiar, but they also offer the step above.
My favorite regular place has been Little Hacienda. Kind of a step between the average places, and Cantina Laredo. But they have moved since you were there last. Now on the other side of Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. Behind Golden Coral. Be advised however since the move there have been some not so positive reviews.
Casa Fuentes was always a favorite, and now have a new, larger location next to Shoji Tabuchi's
A place that gets a lot of positive reviews is Botana's. I haven't tried it my self, but many think it is the best.
Tequila 's 2 I would have to put in that "like your average strip mall Mexican joint" category. I didn't notice anything outstanding.

Botano's would get my vote.

Good food and good service and convenient location.

Mexican is usually not my favorite choice, but I ate at Cantina Laredo once and liked it. I wasn’t too impressed with Little Hacienda (former location) food The one time that I tried it.

I have heard great things about Botano’s, And I definitely want to try the “taco Tuesday“ place in Branson West.

Where is Botano's?

We enjoy Mexican food, sounds like we have a new (to us)place we need to try!

It is on the strip right by White Water, on the same side of the street.

Their white cheese dip is extremely good.

Hands down. The very best is El Patio next to Country Mart in Hollister. It's the real deal and also has the best drink prices from their full bar during happy hour.

Are these authentic Mexican restaurants or Americanized Mexican restaurants?

Americanized Mexican, I'm sure you're not going to find tradition Mexican food like menuedo, tongue tacos, etc.
