Thumbs up Review: Red Lobster

This is probably nothing new to those who frequently choose Red Lobster. But dh and I had lunch there (Branson) today, and thought I'd comment. We both ordered catfish. It came with a salad, choice of FF or mashed potatoes, or broccoli. Plus -- their fresh, hot cheesy biscuits. It's worth a trip just for the biscuits. The salads were especially good. Crisp and fresh. Coffee was hot and fresh. Service was excellent. And -- I love the ambience there. Nice music. For those who want a sports bar, there's that too. The Cardinals were on two large overhead TVs. We enjoyed our meal in a comfortable, clean atmosphere. The bill was just under $20, plus the tip. Just thought some of you might be interested.

Red Lobster is one of my favorite restaurants.

I agree with you about their cheese biscuits, they are sooooo good.

I enjoy their "Endless Shrimp" promotion they are having right now. I was disappointed that the took the Shrimp Alfredo off this year and put on some other shrimp dishes, but it is still good.

The food never seems to vary whether we eat at one of their restaurants here or the one in Branson. The food is always good.

Red Lobster is always a favorite with us ---- no matter what town we're in ----- you can always depend on the food to be good. Glad you enjoyed it!

You are right. The food is consistent - always seems to be good no matter which Red Lobster you go to. We have always found the cost of lunch to be very reasonable. This is one of my favorite places even if it is a chain!

I've been hungry for Red Lobster, maybe we'll have to go to the one in DesMoines this weekend. I agree, the one in Branson is very good.

Thanks for the review! The last time I ate in Red Lobster was in another city, and it was just okay. I'll have to remember to give the one in Branson a try.

The problem was always cold a mushy instead of hot and crispy, like the food sat too long before coming to us.

Then last time, for lunch, it was surprisingly very good.

At least we keep trying, or, let others keep trying.
Glad your last lunch was good. Hopefully, the rest of your meals will be the same. It is so discouraging to go in expecting, from other locations, to get a good meal and it is not what it should be.

Do you like the Pina Colada sauce they serve with the coconut shrimp. I think it is wonderful. I ask for it when I am eating any of their shrimp dishes

Yeah I actually do ask for a little more if I get something else to eat fish wise. It makes a great sauce for their grilled fish. Anything coconut in or on it I LOVE. However, much to my shagrin, my wife will still not wear the coconut bikini I got for her.

Well, then I would stick to Red Lobster for my coconut fix.

Dh and I were in Spfld last night - looking for a place to eat. It was a Tuesday evening and places were PACKED (what is up with that?).

We ended up at Red Lobster, a 5 minute wait, and we were seated.

Their lobster pizza should have been my meal, but dh wanted to share it, so it became our appetizer. Yummy ceasar salads, and cheesy rolls......mmmm, by the time our entree's arrived, we didn't need them, lol.

I usually don't do fried food at Red Lobster, but dh had some of Walts shrimp, and they were hot and crunchy. (I had to sample them). I LOVE their bacon wrapped peach/bourbon BBQ scallops, which I had along with some steamed crab legs. Mmmm MMmmmm Good!

It's been several months since we've eaten there, and as we left, dh vowed we'd return soon.

We love Red Lobster, also.

Restaurants the week between Christmas and New Years are usually very busy as a lot of people have company in for the holidays and many have the week off.

One of my favorites is their shrimp scampi, but also like their shrimp linguini. Their cheese biscuits are so good, I could make a meal of just biscuits.

LOL! The shrimp linguini use to be the reason we frequented Red Lobster, ..... dh loves it, and has figured out how to make it at home, so now when we go, we can eat something else on the menu. I'm waiting for him to perfect the bacon wrapped peach/bourbon scallops.............Mmmm!
