Smile This Trip's Shows

I'm back, , and we had a great time, even in the rain!
We did get SOME clear weather, and we saw Country Tonite, and Branson Idol on Friday night. Then did Silver Dollar City on Saturday and again on Sunday morning (it was misting, then was pouring before we got out). We then did the "Branson Belle" on Sunday afternoon, and then "Lost in the Fifties" on Sunday night. I hate that Country Tonite has changed so much, I miss the comedy, and the down sizing of the performers. It was still a good show, though.
I love Branson Idol everytime I see it, they find great talent for the contest, and my favorite, Payton Kane, won.
As often as we come to Branson, this was my first trip on the Branson Belle, and I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite thing. The dining part was great, the food was fine, but I wasn't crazy about the entertainment, except for the comedian. It was okay, just not my cup of tea, I guess. However, I felt that it was appropriate for a "showboat" type of show, it fit the theme well! I must also add the the comedian was GREAT!!!! I had no make-up left on from crying I was laughing so hard. I would do it again.....but not often...but I do think that everyone should try it at least once.
Lost in the Fifties was once again great........different performers, a little different venue from what I saw last year, but some amazing talent. I don't know how those kids keep up that energy for 2 hours.
At any rate.......all in all.........everything was wonderful.
Will be coming back next month, and already can't wait!

I enjoyed your review. Who do you think will be THE Branson Idol?

Thanks....
I don't know who will win, when we were there in June, Payton Kane won, and it worked out that we saw him again because he was in the semi-finals this past weekend, and he won again. He sure is a talented young man, he just turned 17, and boy can he sing. I almost fainted when that boy started singing the first time. Anyway, I haven't seen anyone else that will be in the finals, so I can't judge, but I do know that even though Payton is young, he has great talent.
Have you seen any of them.......who do you think will win?

We saw one show-early summer. We were hoping that our favorite would get a call back for the Wild Card Show next Wednesday, but she didn't.

I wonder if Branson Idol will return next year?
