Today My Aunt Passed at Age 102!
Do not grieve for her, she was ready to go,
still had a sharp mind until the past few months too! She was the oldest child, with My Dad & only boy being born last after 5 Sisters. She outlived all her siblings, her Husband, Son & Daughter. We rejoice that she had these good years! Isn't it amazing in this day & time that one can live to be 102! Her Birthday was last Monday, July 30th. What an amazing life she had; to witness all the changes in the world & new inventions. ....from depression,WW1, WW2, plus others that followed. Her 102 years were definitely exciting ones! .....on to Heaven to sing with the Angels, Auntie! ![]() ![]() Give my Dad, your baby Brother, a BIG Hug for me, please! |

Wow, she sounds amazing! Although it must have been very sad for her to outlive all her siblings, husband and children...thank God she had family like you still here on earth...
but boy, think of the family reunion she is having now in Heaven! And yes, I magaine she was a a wealth of information and stories. I had a neighbor that lived just up the mountain a bit from me, in a log cabin her parents built and she passed when she was 101. I used to love to go there and sit on the porch with her and talk and hear her stories. As Mellie said of "Eva Mae", I never tired of listening to her knowledge of life. It is so sad today, so many of the youth write off their elderly, put them in nursing homes and never go see them...and how they are cheating themselves of years of life wisdom. The indians had it right, about how the elderly of their tribes were revered. Thanks for sharing this Blaze! |

She did witness a lot of changes in this world through her earthly body, now she will continue to witness changes for eternity with her heavenly Father and heavenly body. God's blessing to you and yours.

Blaze...as much sorrow that I feel for you at your Aunt's passing, I am happy for her that she has gone her way...I'm sure that she was ready. My dear grandmother passed at 94, developed cancer at 92...who would think at that age??? But anyway..she lived life to the fullest everyday...and had the cancer not evolved, I think that she would probably have lived to be in her hundreds as well.
You Aunt sounded like an amazing lady, and I think that I would have loved to haved gotten to know her. I'm sure that you will miss her...let us know if you need us, okay?

Tonight we went to Family Visitation.
You wouldn't believe how nice this 102 yr old woman looked! Not anywhere close to her real age, maybe looked 80! It was nice, not sad at all, we celebrate her long life! |

Blaze sorry I missed this thread, trying to get caught up on the board. It sounds like you Aunt had a wonderful life, my condolences to you and your family. It sure is amazing how good these older folks look, our friends mom passed away last week, just a few days short of turning 94 & she looked to be about 75.
