The Nws discussion I just read is saying there could be a lot of rain tonight. Maybe 3 inches PER HOUR. We will see what exactly happens. The lake is still in the rise from the last rain.

Taneycomo is that beautiful shade of brown and full of trash now too!

Not sure how many inches of rain we had this morning but it poured from the skies and from the creeks and ditches. Taneycomo is a wash with all the leaves and sticks that fell to the ground last fall!

No fishing today after noon, at least not in our area. There was so much junk on the surface it'd be detrimental to your motor to take it out - get your water pump clogged.

But the real nice thing about our lake is it gets "flushed" and we get all brand new water over night, just like that!

Table Rock is shooting up so I bet we're going to see a little more generation in the coming days. We'll see..

Doesn't look like they are going to dump a lot out of Table Rock today. 1 1/2 units to start up about 2:00PM (80MW), then about two units (100MW) untill 8:00PM. Should flush the mud, and trash out of Taney though.

If some of those 10-15 inch weekly totals were over tablerock we would really have to be worrying now. They are still calling for very heavy rain the next several days. Table rock is now up to 918.

Already an inch and a half south of town in a small area. Haven't had a drop here yet. There are more storms forming to our west in stone county now. These storms are training and could mean buisness tonight. There is a boundary draped over the area from this mornings convection.

Very heavy rains all over table rock lake. Training thunderstorms. The radar looks scary these storms could sit here for several hours.

Water is rising fast on table rock. Already up to 919 and it is still raining. It is hard to say how much it will rise...I would say several feet though.

up one foot in the last 4 hours. IIRC it was rising at about this rate (3"/hour) during the 2011 flood.

Neighbor said you can actually see the level rising!

JW: can't remember that number, but I think it is 937 when it goes over the top of the gates and they open the emergency gates @ moonshine beach and proceed to blast the fish hatchery.

Along with all the houses along Taneycomo, the resorts, and Branson Landing!
Not just some of the houses, and the lower part of the Landing, but all of it. The emergency flood gates are just that. For an emergency when the integrity of the dam itself is threatened.
