I am assuming that ya'll are talking about Lake Taneycomo....that water is the coldest water..those of us from Texas are used to "bath water".....we find it absolutely exhilarating...and all the fly fisherman think we are nuts because we take our jet skis up to the dam and drift downward and just watch all the trout beneath us.....on a hot steamy summer day, it's rather breath-taking to jump in...why we practically can walk on water

Yeah Blaze...I am a little east of you....to me, it's a bunch of mudholes around here and the water is toooo dang hot to be refreshing....although, it does make for good catfishing.....my neighbor spent a week on the lake and caught over 500 catfish....but it's just not for swimming.....too many snakes, also...sooooo, me and the kids like that cold water at Taneycomo...we think it's way awesome....and wherever there are fish, hubby is happy!
