Lone Star Steakhouse

Have they closed? Drove by there at 1pm today and not 1 car in the parking lot.

We ate there in late July/early August. Try the pork chops with jalapeno jelly!

They changed their hours and are now open from 4 pm for dinner only.

I did not eat there often but one thing I really enjoy about the place is that they serve baked sweet potatoes as a side dish. I prefer a baked sweet potato over a regular baked potato and wish more restaurants would give you a choice. Cracker Barrel also serves a baked sweet potato served with butter and a cinnamon topping that is very good.

Years ago, soon after they ooened, service was a big problem. Not only in Branson, but in any LS I had been to. Solw to be seated, even when not that busy, slow to get a server, and really slow to get your food. But the steaks were pretty good, once they brought them. The last time I went to LS in Branson, maybe a year ago, the service was much better. But at the cost of getting a terrible steak. What they brought out as a ribeye looked more like a piece cut out of a sirloin, or something else. I've never seen a ribeye that was perfectly square, with no marbling, and that tough.
It's been there many years, so I guess everybody doesn't have the same experience.

Texas Roadhouse also has baked sweet potatoes with cinnamon butter.

If there was only a TR in Branson!
Or Logans Roadhouse. Either would be a great addition, but also steep competition for Montana Mikes.

Whenever I eat at Texas Rodehouse here in the KC area, I have their baked sweet potato and boy is it good. They have some delicious prime rib and serve it extra rare, which is what I like.
