Do a show in the theatre that is a BRANSON TRIBUTE SHOW. The entire show would be a tribute and a sampling of ALL the shows in Branson. (snipped for brevity)
Then, at intermission, besides the concession stand goodies, the box office is open, and is selling tickets to ALL the theatres in Branson, along with handing out brochures of all the theatres. This way, new visitors to town would get to literally experience what each show was like in town before making their purchase, and would become excited about seeing "that" show after having a sample of it.
THIS is a winner! Give that player the plaid cat!

I was the Video director for that theater for a few years. after 50's at the hop I did tony roi, Joey Riley (rip) the osmonds, Ronnie Prophet, to name a few but during that time we had some great shows pass through that didn't last for whatever reason such as the winter dance party(Buddy Holly, ritchie valens and the big bobber) the rat pack(Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin).
they where both great shows not to mention liverpool legends played there the first year they where here.

LOVED! The Winter Dance Party! Saw it several times in Branson & "on the road".

"Sting" Ray Anthony did a fabulous job portraying Richie Valens.

Big Bopper Jr. (J P Richardson) sang his dad's songs. ( r.i.p. Sr. & Jr.)

John Mueller portrayed Buddy Holly, doing a fantastic job, too.

You wouldn't even need the folks from each show live if you had a large hi-def screen and showed video clips from each show. All you would need then would be someone to sell the tickets via computer.

Julia, .... do not pass "go", ... do not collect $200..... get to a telephone and contact Marvin Short ASAP! Branson Mall's "50's at the Hop" show of circa 1995, '96 was arguably one of the best shows in town! (and Marvin was a vital part of that cast) If you could bring back some of the key players (Marvin, Gina Kilbane, Buckey Hurd, Cody Titus, etc.) of that show, you would have a box-office winner for sure! Whatever you choose to do, I'm just glad to see that your facility will be up and running soon.

Maybe just me, but this makes more sense than a "tribute" performer. With the occasional live appearance of various Branson entertainers as an added bonus.

Don't you get it NotJLB??

This is the Internet... most people don't know when you are joking (including me). That is why you generate more "meh" and hostile responses than you probably really deserve. I've learned the hard way... and continue to learn... that sarcasm on the net doesn't really work.

There used to be a giant "ticket counter" right inside the mall entrance....
You couldn't walk past them without getting yelled at......

I was thinking that Winter Dance Party was only scheduled as a short-run. It was a GREAT show!

You should have "Winter Dance Party" back. One of the best shows ever seen there. Check it out at http://www.winterdanceparty.com
