Tilted Kilt, or Twin Peaks.......In your dreams! NEVER in Branson.
Dave & Buster' s, not a bad idea, but like the one in Earth City, a St. Louis suburb, but for different reasons, you won't keep the kids out. Regardless of the rules. I quit going to the one here long ago when it was taken over by 10 year olds turned loose by irresponsible parents with no intention of following the rules, and management too afraid to stand up to them. Even late night!
The offending clientele would probably be different in Branson. It would be more "why isn't this a family place. Doubt there would be the same problem late at night, when the shops close, but isn't the idea something for the guys while the gals shop.
Not for every guy, but a well stocked, well run gun shop would be nice. Same with a fishing/fly shop. Something better than the BPS "big box" approach.
In fact, although quite expensive, a gun shop with an indoor range would be great. Don't say it can't be done in a mall. I know very well the details one in a strip mall here. But the cost of the interrior concrete walls, backstops, target system, ventilation, and other safety measures was $1.3 million! But it's quite successful, and recouping the outlay well.
Might need some input from NotJLB, but how about a Gulfsmith, or similar golf shop? Or would that not be of interest to ale tourists.

Wow, TWO great ideas, an exotic car museum, and an indoor firearms range! Now both those would be really, really, great attractions for guys!

Some of the better car "museums" have interactive racing games, such as at the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing in Ocala Florida, where you sit as in a top fuel dragster, the Christmas tree timing lights count down, and you hit the throttle, measuring your reaction time against others. Very fun. I'm sure there are other types of "simulators" at other automobile racing museums as well. Of course, what would be really cool would be a display of several types of racing engines, say a nitro injected blown hemi, an Indy type engine, etc, that say, twice a day or so at scheduled times would be fired up, and run for a minute or two, so guys could experience those sounds of those performance engines. Oh yea, man!

The indoor gun range? The rental of full auto weapons would be a huge draw, as it is at several places in Las Vegas. A fully stocked rental of other weapons, both handgun and rifle, would be great, plus the addition of day/evening classes of firearms training by certified NRA instructors, including CCW permits, would really draw a crowd.

Great thinking, guys!

There was one several years ago. On the hill coming down into downtown Branson. On the right, a little building with a red and white awning at one time. Don't know what is there now, but after the MG range shut down it was some sort of hot dog place. They had the self healing backdrop where various scenario videos were projected. They had open range time, and league competition. But, the owner told me they were constantly "under fire", pun intended, by the city.

Not just for the men, though. I can't remember the last time I was at Branson Landing. We only go there, to eat dinner... and, it's been a couple of years, since we've done that. We would patronize an indoor range, however, and quite often. It sucks, having to drive to Sound of Freedom.

Then there is the ultimate combination like this one in St. Louis. Guns, and grub. What could be better?

That would be awesome! We always make it a date day/night, and go to Braums or Lamberts, before we head to Sound of freedom. I'd love to be able to get a good burger at the shooting range. It would be kind of like eating at the bowling alley, loud noises and all!

Was at the Landing last night and it looks like the Moonshine place (down near Bass Pro) will be opening soon.

We ate at Big Whiskey's again -- 3 happy hour appetizers and 2 rounds of drinks for less than $20.

We stayed around for the free Mark Chapman Band concert at 8 pm. Large crowd for the concert and lots of people walking around the Landing. Saw the Lake Queen pass by a couple of times.

We left at 9:30 before the concert was over, and as we were walking toward the Belk parking lot, more people were arriving and coming in to the Landing. Stores that closed at 9 were missing out on business. People were still shopping in the stores that were open. Even the Parakeet Pete's balloon had a line.

That is the biggest mistake they are making at the Landing!!!!
At least through the busy season from April until Thanksgiving.
