Thumbs up Jubilee Saves Breakfast!!

More praise for Jubilee. (I know, I know, some insist on calling it Price Chopper, Cutter, Smasher, Slasher, Squeezer, pounder, and probably others, but not me.)
I'm a big fan of waffles and 100% beef sausages for breakfast.
Trouble is, it is really tough to find decent frozen waffles here or in Springfield. I solved that by supply trips to Nashville where I stocked up on Trader Joe's Belgian Waffles---Outstanding!! On our last trip in August, tragedy struck--Joe's cooler was busted and they only had a few boxes for us. Needless to say about mid September we were out.
So I did an investigation as to the possibility of another brand being available. Behold, Consumer Reports says that the "Vans" brand has a good Belgian waffle. Problem was, nobody within 75 miles sold them. This is where Jubilee comes in--I asked them to stock them and two weeks later there they were.
Did the taste test yesterday and they were quite good. Not as good as Joe's, but better than anything else on the market. They are thick so you gotta give them 30 seconds in the microwave at 30% power, then into the toaster. Add hot syrup and the fruit of your choice, and breakfast heaven.
About those sausages, if you have ever searched for sausages that are beef, not pork, not chicken, not a mixture, then you know they are hard to find. Once again Jubilee to the rescue.
So thanks Jubilee, about two mornings a week you are my hero..

Waffles... you know those things rank right up there with cigarettes, right? Did I say that, out loud?

You do know there's a Trader Joe's in KC for those real quick emergencies.

Yup, St Louis also, but Nashville allows us to visit family along with gathering up the goodies.
If the going ever gets really tough, I will head to KC or STL.
