Down to two units

The floodgates were closed Tuesday, and by Saturday the releases are down to two units. Beaver lake is still quite high, and I would guess the Corps is planning to move that extra water though the system. It seems that they are doing it gets y slow however. Some days there is no release from Beaver at all.
I am guessing that because Bull Shoals is 7' high, and supplementing generation with additional releases is the reason they are so slow to get Table Rock back down to the normal Winter level which is a little over a foot below where it is now. They must be using Table Rock as a buffer of some sort between two lakes that are over 7' above the seasonal normal.

The White River is already flooding land near Newport AR and getting near the edge of the highway in some places.

Also the Mississippi below the confluence of White has many gauges nearing flood to moderate flooding.
Everything results in a complicated balancing act for sure.

One week later...Back to 3 and 5 gates!

Seems there was enough rain in the watershed for the Corps to go back to dumping 15k cfs through 3 turbines, and five gates open one foot each!
