Labor Day Weekend

It has been several years since I have been to Branson over Labor Day Weekend. How is the traffic? We are thinking about going that weekend but if it is very busy may wait till a week or so after. Thanks for your help!

I am in Branson every Labor Day and it is very crowded; however, using the blue, yellow and red routes that are displayed, traffic is not that bad. On holiday weekends, if we eat out, we plan to eat near a theater we are going to or eat a little earlier or later than rush times. Even though it is crowded, people always seem to be in a good mood and it is fun. Last year, I fought more traffic leaving Branson on Sunday than I did on other holiday weekends.

Have a great time in Branson.

If you wait a week or so, you will find it is much more peaceful as Labor Day is very crowded. As business this year seems to be better than the last few, I'd expect quite a crowd. But if you do come, make your arrangements well in advance.

We have been there a few times that weekend, it is busy but I would put it below Thanksgiving - car show - Veterans - type crowds. We didn't really have problems getting around town, however we didn't go to silverdollar city and I have heard it is really bad out there for crowds with the Christian music festival going on.

If it were me, I'd wait until a later weekend after Labor Day. The crowds will be less and while it is hard to predict the weather (especially this year) it's usually cooler also.
