REVIEW: Stuck On The 70's - 2005 Show Review
I have seen this show several times and as I've said many times this is one of my very favorite shows in Branson. This is surprising because when I was going back and forth to college with a friend and she always had the radio station set on 70's music. I found it highly boring and would always take a nap during our drive. I was hesitant when I first went to see Stuck on the 70's but because I like Lost in the 50's so much and I knew "Stuck" was created by the same people I decided to give it a chance. I am certainly glad that I did. No longer am I going around the house singing current pop hits but rather songs such as "Respect", "Signed, Sealed, Delievered", etc. all songs found in the show. I think the main reason that I enjoy the show and music so much is because I could relate to the young cast members and also I like how they give their own spin, almost contemporary flavor to the show. I have also noticed that the audiences at "Stuck" are for the most part from the younger set. I didn't go to the show to hear a note by note recreation of the originals but to hear a fresh new spin on some timeless music.
Just like its sister show, Lost in the 50's, Stuck on the 70's has also undergone some changes which I found very exciting. There is still the acoustic set, and a voyage on the "Love Boat" which I love. The "Love Boat" is not only funny but there is also some great songs from the 70's in that section. The songs also help tell the story of these four couples. "Gilbert" aka Brad is really great this year. Even though I really like "Love Boat" I hope the producers are thinking up something just as creative and original to replace it with. I would enjoy seeing something brand new there. Some of the standout moments from this year's show includes Nedra's version of "Killing Me Softly", "Car Wash" complete with "garage uniforms", "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", and "Piano Man". There is some great new costumes and new dancing that really pull the whole show together. I think you will really enjoy this one. ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for your review....I also like this show.....I graduated in 71, so all of this music is "my era"....long...long ago!
![]() I have seen it several times now, and the only thing that I wish they would change is the "Love Boat" scene, but I think it's just because I've seen it too many times. When I took my three cousins back in April, it was a first for them, and they all said that they really enjoyed the "Love Boat" part of the show. And you are right...Brad is perfect as "Gilbert"! There are some powerful voices in that 70's cast, for sure! Great review! ![]()

I forgot to tell you all about Same Day Tickets. I used Same Day Tickets(The orange shaped dome across from Wal-Mart) to purchase my tickets for "Stuck". I was in and out in probably 2 minutes flat with the actual tickets in my hand. "SDT" only sells tickets for Starlite Entertainment. I sat in the center section (can't remember what row now), very close to the stage and I got each ticket for $13.00 a piece. There is no other catch to it. I will check them out from now on when seeing a Starlite show.
