Just read that he is no longer in the show with Johnny Lee. I saw the show last month.

Here's what I saw on FB
John Schneider graciously agreed to fill in for Mickey Gilley so that Johnny Lee could but fulfill his commitment to the theater. I was at the show last Friday night when a heckler in the back started to scream at Johnny Lee and John Schneider to do less talking and play more music. Heckler made it clear he didn't like the politics being discussed and "that's not why he bought a ticket". It flabbergasted all of us and John Schneider simply politely requested that he skip his show which was after Johnny Lee's. Apparently this (probably preplanned) disturbance has resulted in John Schneider being informed he was no longer welcome to perform at the Shanghai Theater.

It is terrible when you pay to be entertained, but instead get preached politics by the act. There is no excuse for this.

Totally agree. Whether I agree with the politics being presented or not is besides the point. I was there to be entertained for two hours and to escape from the crazy world that we are living in.
If it had been a comedy show and IF the political jokes were presented equally, I would have felt differently. I used to love entertainers like Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, etc. They poked fun at both sides, but we never knew where they actually stood.
