I looked at their menu last night. It seems to be a good mix of Billy Gail's staples and Flat Creek's more popular items, including their fantastic catfish!

Quoted rjw1991a1: "Well, I did get a "personal" review from a friend. Food was OK to good, service was good with a mix of former, and new staff.
However! It's been completely changed with the kitchen now taking what used to be the main dining room, a dining counter in the entrance, the sunroom now the main dining room, and decor nothing like Billy Gail's.
It IS now Flat Creek, not Billy Gail's no matter what name is on it!
They had lunch there, and the items they chose were never on the Billy Gail's menu. Don't know yet how much the breakfast menu changed".

Well...oh how I love children's Fairy Tales and Nursery Rymes, in that they most always were based on actual events, that the powers that be forbid the "commoners", the "unwashed" masses, to talk about.

So, I would like to give kudos to Hans Christian Anderson in saying that, even though the King Hath No Clothes, we can NEVER utter aloud that the King Hath No Clothes....fair enough???

Lunch Today at Billy Gails

Although we have been coming to Branson for probably 30 years I had only eaten at Billy Gail’s once prior to today. So, I can’t compare what was to what it is now. But, we enjoyed our lunch a lot and I am pretty sure we’ll be going back.
We shared a catfish plate; three nice sized fillets, a ton of fries and hush puppies. Very good, more food than we could eat.
We were seated next to a couple that are locals and are frequent customers. They were talking to a server that they knew. The server said she really liked the changes.

No doubt it will be a good place. Flat Creek has a very good reputation, and lots of fans. But why all the changes....except the name. Why not just let the legend live in our memories, and put a Flat Creek sign out front?

Go blind folded, and don't order lunch. You should be good to go.
