Salt Grass

Salt Grass is back on our good side. Last Saturday night we gave it another try. Service was solid. The bartender was attentive while we waited for our table. Salads and bread were out quickly. The wife's steak was perfect for her. I had the usual, blackened redfish with brussel sprouts. This time it was hot and delicious. I noticed the manager (I assume) visiting tables to see how their meals were. Next trip down, we are going to try Shark Fin again.

Saltgrass Steakhouse has always been a "hit or miss" experience for me, maybe others...however, to be fair, much more "hits" than "misses". Just the name...Saltgrass Steakhouse...always makes my mouth water...thinking about those cattle filling up on the genuine Texas gulf coast saltgrass for days/weeks, before going to market and being slaughtered...then I bite into a steak there, and nah...it's not "Saltgrass" fed beef! But...when you are at the Landing, and in the mood for a good old fashioned steak, baked potato and hot bread meal, there is no other place! And it really is good, most of the time.

While it's really hard for me to deviate from a great chunk of cow when I go to Saltgrass, that blackened Redfish sounds awesome! I'm going to have to force myself to try it next time we go to Saltgrass.
BTW Fly, how long are you going to be in Branson? I'm coming down Wednesday for a Trout Tournament Saturday. I would be honored to have a couple brews with you, and talk trout fishing.
